No Pins, But Needles

Went in for acupuncture Thursday to try and induce labor. It's now been 47 hours, and the acupuncturist said if anything was going to happen it would in 48.

She also said at the very least it would make the induction go more easily.

We'll see if anything happens between now and Tuesday night.

hm. the acupuncturist i used to work for said that regular application of the needles (like every other day) could bring on labor. but he also said that if the baby isn't ready, acupuncture wouldn't work.

don't despair laura, it can be hard to make a baby come before you are due, especially for a first time mama. i do hope she comes before the pitocin though. any chance they will let you go a week overdue?

No chance of letting me go beyond Tuesday, unless they get really busy and delay me until Wednesday. Or unless I refuse the procedure against medical advice.

I'm not sure what to think; LD says my body has been ready for a while, so this baby must have her own plans.

Yeah, comments from irritating strangers. I posted a comment.

I may opt to go for more acupuncture Monday if the acupuncturist has an opening.
